I have a computer but never had a lap and would like to get one just don’t have a clue as what to get PS can’t afford to expensive.$$
Item Specifics – PC Laptops
Brand: Dell Hard Drive Capacity: 120 GB
Family: XPS Screen Size: 17 inches
Processor Type: Intel Core Duo Operating System: Windows XP
Processor Model: — Primary Drive: DVD+/-RW
Processor Speed: 2,100 MHz Condition: New, Sealed in Box
Memory (RAM): 2,000 MB

For your tasks (and 99.9% of notebook users) a $500 Sunday special from BestBuy or CircuitCity will do just fine.
The biggest difference between a $500 notebook and a $1,000 notebook is a slightly faster processor, which isn’t going to be noticeable unless you edit raw DV (digital Video) from a camcorder or encode DVD’s, and even then I don’t think it’s worth double the price (you might wait 10% for an encode to be finished compared to the $1,000 notebook).
This is the best deal in the ads this week:http://www.officedepot.com/ddSKU.do?leve…
Add 2gb of RAM from newegg.com for $65:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…http://www.youtube.com/results?search_qu…
And you have a dual-core notebook with 2gb of RAM, large hard drive, DVD/CD burner, wireless, etc. for about $500.
