If you want something to last you for four years, get the HP laptop. The T9300 is the latest processor out there and it even runs circles around my e6300. Frankly speaking, laptops are and never will be meant for gaming. A 8600M GS or GT won’t be able to handle all games on maximum settings especially the newer games. A desktop is still the best way to go if you want to play games on high res and max settings. If you play any steam games or WoW, however, this laptop is more than good enough. If you want to focus on studies, however, even the Asus EE Pc will do for nearly $1300+ cheaper.
go for the hp. if your spending that much, whats $230?
that 6mb cache is sick, i just bought a new comp and it only has 1mb cache.
also, the 17″ screen is great, especially if this is a desktop replacement.
