Dell Notebook Decision…?

The studio 17 has 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650 while the inspiron 1720 has the 256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT card…which one should I get?
I also want to install Leopard on my laptop…will it work for either one?

I want to know what kind of video cards i can upgrade to. I don’t want them to be to big if i buy then. I have the 17″ screen one which meens a BIG laptop i’m a gamer so it has to fit one of those big juice cards so i can run good games . So:
1. Can i even upgrade to a Better video card, I have a Integrated video card at the moment?
2. How big can it be, or how do i check the slot it goes into?

Dell Xps M1330 13.3″ Aka Budget Gamers Notebook?

Hi,
I was looking into purchasing this notebook only for gaming, I understand that gaming laptops are very costly and I’ve read somewhere that this perticular line is perfect for budget gamers.
Now this line is appealing and all but! If I was to call a Dell rep. is here a possibility that I can pay extra and they can make this screen a 15.4″ or perhaps a 17″ for extra fee???

How Much Is A Used Dell Xps 1730 Worth?

A good friend of mine is looking for some fast cash and wants to sell is one year old Dell XPS 1730. The stats are:
2.2 Duo Core CPU
2×512 Nvidia 8600 GT Graphics Cards
3 gigs of ram
120gig HD
17 inch screen
It came with 2 gigs of ram but since he’s bought it he has put in another gig(3gigs total now), upgraded the HD, and just bought a brand new battery and power cord last week for it. I know him personally and he takes care of it very well.
It was $3,000 brand new. He has a buyer willing to pay $2,000 but will sell it to me for $1,500 and will let me make payments in on it.
Is this computer worth 1,500 today? How much does a laptop depreciate in value over time? It is one year old.

What Kind Of Adapter Do I Need To Plug In My Dell Xps Notebook In Europe?

I am going to France next month for about a week, and I would really like to take my computer with me. The electrical outlets in Europe are physically different from those in the U.S.A., and they also use a different current. The last time I took my computer overseas was to Ireland in 2008. The representative from Dell told me all I needed was a Belkin adapter, which cost about $17 and was little more than a piece of plastic with different-sized metal prongs sticking out of the back. I used that, and although it seemed to work, I had power problems when I got back to the states, and even had to replace my hard drive. So, I’m wondering, were they wrong? Do I need to purchase a more complex piece of equipment in order to use my laptop in France? If you can, please be specific. Thanks!

i am thinking of buying the dell 1721 off of ebay but i dont have a clue about memory and stuff so am not sure if i should buy it yet…i use my latop for MSN, Downloading music and playing games such as sims 2 and when i get it sims 3 can you please tell me if the memory sounds ok and if everything sounds ok and good memory and that cause i want a fairly quick laptop nbot something that freezes all the time and stuff here is the info…
