What Software Can I Use To Watch Blu-ray Dvds?

I have a Dell Studio 17 laptop with a Blu-ray player. For many months I used to watch Blu-rays using the Dell Media Direct software and it was all working fine until I formatted my PC.
I re-installed Dell Media Direct but it can’t play the Blu-rays anymore.
Other discs and DVDs play just fine.
I am getting tired of this software and was wondering if there is any other free software that I can download and use to watch my Blu-rays.
Any help would be appreciated.

Blu-ray Bd-live Problem?

I watch Blu-Ray movies on my Dell Studio 17 laptop. I bought TRANSFORMERS on Blu-Ray (the two-disc edition) and I can watch it without any problems. However, while playing the first disc I tried creating a new account for BD-Live content but it freezes. My player is Optiarc DVDRWBD BC-5600S. Any ideas as to how I should go about this problem?
Also, how do I find the manufacturer of my Blu-Ray drive?

Why Doesn’t My Blu-ray Drive Play This Disc?

I watch Blu-Ray movies on my Dell Studio 17 laptop using Dell MediaDirect. I bought TRANSFORMERS on Blu-Ray (the two-disc edition) and I can play the fist disc without any problems. However, while trying to play the second disc, I get the error message “Unable to detect a DVD or DVD device on your computer”.
I think it is unlikely that my drive has a problem because I can play other Blu-Ray movies on it.

Dvd Upconvert In A Laptop Blu-ray Drive?

I have just ordered a Dell Studio 17 laptop with a Blu-ray disc drive and an HD screen. I was just wondering if I played a regular DVD, the picture will be upconverted to 1080p. I know that the Sony Blu-ray player hooked up to my TV upconverts, but does the Blu-ray player in a computer do it too?
