IBM Thinkpad Z60t versus Samsung M55HWMT7200
I think i might experience a little difficulty trying to compare IBM versus Samsung, but the fact still remains that features vary, and you have to go for the one that suits you.
Personally, i am impressed with sleekness of IBM. But i dont like the looks, it looks like an engine, although, it has the strength, and speed to impress me. I can boldly tell you that you will be happy with its Intel Core Duo T2500 2 GHz Processor, 100GB HDD,and RAM of 1GB, which you can upgrade to 2GB. For those who love the internet, you can use its WLAN, or gigabit ethernet to connect anywhere you so desire. This laptop computer is my recommendation for all who wants a laptop computer for all purpose. Check out this features: It has a screen size of 14-inch with a TFT active matrix display. This give me confidence in my multimedia view.
I am also someone who love rewritting DVD, and stuffs like that, and its DVDRW (R DL) / DVD-RAM is just perfect. Whenever you want to buy a laptop computer, go for one that has a Windows XP Professional OS, because it is much better than the Windows Vista. It is easily carried, with a weight of 5.1 lbs, and still having features such as WLAN antenna, Cellular antenna, Bluetooth antenna, and good stereo speakers.
Bt guess what? It only has a 1 year warranty, that’s to bad.
Asides all these i will pick the IBM.
But the Samsung M55HWMT7200 is a wonderful laptop computer when the IBM versus Samsung is compared. It has a higher HDD of 120GB than IBM, which is just too enough for all your digital files, multimedia files, and every other files. The samsung M55HWMT7200 just has everything you need. Let me give you some secret features also, it has a WLAN standard, with an inbuilt Bluetooth. Connect to the world, and enjoy your flexibility using the Samsung, that is what i tell my friends. I always get my work done very fast with its 2GHz CPU Intel Core 2 Duo processor, and view watchever you wish on its 17-inch screen display. You just will love the experience of using the Samsung, believe me!
And for those who do not want a servant to carry their laptop for them when they do around, the weight of the Samsung is just 2.99 Kg.
Which Mac are You?

Apple has given a lot of thought to the issue of what you need from a computer and why. The result is a range of Macs that covers every possibility. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a student, a businessperson, a multimedia professional, or someone who wants a fully-rounded computing and entertainment centre for home: there’s a Mac that provides exactly what you require.
Mac Pro
At the top of the Mac range is the Mac Pro. This is a customisable tower with Quad Core Intel Xeon processors that deliver astonishing speed and efficiency. When these processors combine with the remarkable memory, storage and graphics that Apple makes available, you have something close to the perfect computer.
In this sense, you can’t do better than a Mac Pro. The average user wouldn’t need to upgrade for years – and even then, Apple has designed the Mac Pro in such a way that extra memory, storage, and better graphics cards are easy to install. But the Mac Pro is a substantial, powerful machine, and the average user will only use a fraction of its capabilities. The Mac Pro’s appeal is mainly to those professionals who use computers for the most complex video, graphics and sound applications. At the level of sophisticated 3D image creation, there’s nothing to beat it.
Mac Mini
If you want an economical home computer that allows you to work imaginatively with music, films, photos, and the Internet, you should consider the Mac Mini.
Compared to the Mac Pro, the Mac Mini is tiny: 16.5 cm square by 5 cm tall (6.5 inches by 2 inches). Don’t be deceived by the modest size, however. The Mac Mini contains an Intel Core 2 Duo processor (either 1.83GHz or 2GHz); an 80GB or 120GB hard drive; a slot-loading Combo or SuperDrive; and built-in wireless connection. It also has features such as four USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, audio minijacks, and a DVI/VGA connection. All of this comes in a neat and stylish, anodised aluminium casing.
What you get with a Mac Mini, therefore, is a perfect opportunity to upgrade your home computer instantly. Simply plug your existing keyboard, monitor, mouse, printer and devices into the ports and you have the Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard operating system and iLife ’08 ready for use. You can even run the Mac Mini alongside your existing home computer.
MacBook
If you prefer the freedom of a laptop but also want a great all-round computing experience, take a look at the MacBook. Apple has fused portability with power to create a machine that gives the majority of computer users everything they want.
As with the Mac Mini, Apple employs Intel Core 2 Duo processors, but with the MacBook these are either 2.1GHz or 2.4GHz. There are also options of 1GB or 2GB of memory, and 120GB, 160GB or 250GB of hard drive storage.
What’s more, you never grow tired of showing just how good the MacBook looks. It has a tough polycarbonate casing in white or black, and a glossy screen that never fails to impress. And with its AirPort Extreme 802.11n Wi-Fi, you can connect your MacBook to the Internet wherever you happen to be: in the office, at home, at school, or wherever Wi-Fi is available.
MacBook Air
If you’re looking for a laptop, you have to think about the MacBook Air as an option. Above all else, what the MacBook Air offers is uncompromising elegance. It weighs just 1.36 kg (3 pounds) and is 0.4 cm (1/6 inch) at its thinnest point and just 1.94 cm (3/4 inch) at its thickest.
Despite the weight and dimensions, you get a 13 inch screen; a 1.6GHz or 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor; 2GB of memory; an 80GB hard drive or 64GB solid state drive; and both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. In other words, you still have the functions of a great quality laptop.
MacBook Pro
It’s better to describe the remaining laptop in the Mac range, the MacBook Pro, as a portable desktop. This description reflects the power of a computer that is ideal for the professional on the move or for the laptop owner who simply wants the best.
The features of the MacBook Pro are stunning and include 15 or 17 inch LED backlit widescreen displays and a trackpad that uses many of the Multi-Touch aspects of the Apple iPhone. Other technical specs include 2.4 GHz or 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processors; 2GB of memory and up to 250 GB of hard drive capacity. A further feature worth noting for anyone who uses a laptop to demonstrate applications to business colleagues is the superb NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics card. This shows creative and scientific work to its best advantage.
The reasonable weight of 2.45 kg (5.4 pounds) for the 15 inch model and the compact 2.59 cm (1 inch) depth of the aluminium shell further confirm that the MacBook Pro is the finest business laptop around.
iMac
You cannot accuse the MacBook Pro of being a standard laptop; similarly, Apple’s popular iMac is far from being a conventional desktop. The 20 inch and 24 inch screens display startlingly accurate images backed by ATI Radeon or NVIDIA graphics cards, and the hard drives, ranging from 250GB to 500GB, are sufficient to support most applications and to store plenty of documents, films, music and digital photos.
Other iMac features include the built-in iSight camera and microphone, which are great for chatting to family and friends around the world or to set up business video conferences. And thanks to Apple’s foresight, you can run Windows and all Microsoft applications such as Office 2008.
All this and more helps make the iMac an excellent all-rounder with configurations that cover almost every aspect of home and business use. What’s more, the iMac saves space: everything fits into the astonishingly compact area behind the screen. The iMac is truly a practical, versatile and fast machine for everyday use.

Toshiba Satellite M65-s809 Laptop Review

This Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 laptop pc is actually one of the most affordable desktop replacement among Toshiba laptops.
I have always loved big laptop notebook, and i believe that the bigger a laptop notebook, the better. The new Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 laptop notebook has a 17-inch bright screen display. Its display is powered by TruBrite, and it results into a clear, and bright screen view. Although, it is a little heavy for 7 pounds, but for that size, i consider it cool. This is also one Toshiba laptop pc i have liked so much. For the first time, i get to see a Toshiba with a beautiful design, and style.
Also checking on the hardware will give you a feeling of wanting to purchase your own Toshiba. It uses a 1.73 GHz Intel Pentium M 740 processor, with a 512 MB RAM, which is expandable to 2 GB. All these features gives you an additional believe that this Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 is certainly not a baby laptop pc. Well, i can say that i have seen laptop pcs with better specs, but this Toshiba comes as solid desktop replacement. You will also discover it has a 100 GB hard disk drive, speakers, FireWire port, 3 USBs, and an S-Video.
In addition to those mentioned, it also has a PC card slot, ExpressCard slot, and a 5-in-1 memory card slot. All these are just to make you know how packed this laptop is. But the Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 although has its own weakness where it doesn’t impress me. I discovered that the keyboard is not so good. Despite its size, you will notice its keyboard is just cramped up in a small area of about 10cm. I also didn’t enjoy the design of the mouse control. It actually looks unprofessional. It looks as if there is a shortness of material when they were making the mouse buttons.
Anyway, those are just side attractions. The Battery life of the Toshiba Satellite M65-S809 laptop notebook gives me a feeling that i can’t explain. It is so annoying when you take your laptop pc to class, and after 2 hours, its battery goes off. I know how frustrating it, because i have experienced it.
So make the right choice for your laptop pc today. It is not an abosolute expensive laptop computer. It is just a little above $1,200. So i guess you can afford that.

I am a notebook computer user, and i practically love large screens because it gives me a cinema view of my work, and everything i do.
I am into photography, and i can’t use a small screen display laptop notebook, so i went for a 17.1 inch laptop notebook. Actually why i went for Gateway MX8711 laptop, i do not now, and there are obviously so many other wonderful notebook computer around too. Although the Gateway MX8711 laptop have been meeting my need, and i haven’t found a need for a replacement.
I think some of the things that make me go for the Gateway MX8711 laptop is first, i got a discount service advertised, and it sounded good to me, so why should’nt i go for it.
Secondly, i picked the Gateway MX8711 laptop because it is a quality laptop having quite a lot of multimedia features that can back up my job, and give me a real time using my laptop notebook. Some of its features include: its Intel Pentium Dual Core (1.6 GHz) processor, which gives me a full speed when it comes to editing, and processing photos. I also enjoy its 1 GB DDR II SDRAM, in that it gives me a good back up coupled with the processor. It also has a good hard disk drive space full enough to take all the pictures i will have in many years to come, without even deleting any of them. Now coupled with A 17.1 inch screen, it is just ok for my work and that just tells me, you’ve got your notebook computer. The screen has a high resolution, which was just perfect for its intended work when i bought it.
I am also a laptop notebook user who loves Microsoft Windows Vista, but if i get a Microsoft Windows Vista Home Edition, i will still be comfortable. It gives me, and my system some added value. However, when i first bought it, i noticed that there could be faults developing as a result of handling, so i simply decided to keep it in a fixed location. I don’t take it with me, whenever i have a field event. I have another laptop which i use for that purpose.
I realized this when i checked-up some informations website on Gateway laptops, which reported quite a number of case as a result of handling, so my decision was made in order to avoid it. I pray that my avoiding this problem lasts for a long time.
You can also check out other features in your own free time, that laptop is really great.

Laptops â the Apple Macbook Air and the Dell Studio 17

Appleâs MacBook Air has been a very popular machine and there have been many people who have jumped at the chance to own one but is this because of the capabilities of the machine or simply the innovative look of this product? The Air has been marketed by Apple as the âworldâs thinnest notebookâ, however, have been a few claims that have said there was a Mitsubishi laptop from 1997 that was a fraction thinner but there are no other laptops around at the moment that come close to the size of the Air. The design and the engineering of this product is amazing and we would expect no less from Apple laptops, however, this device is very specialised and will no doubt not be as widely used as the standard 13-inch Macbook system. This could be because the MacBook Air has a few well-documented downfalls; it only has room for one USB port and no room for a built-in optical drive, mobile broadband, Ethernet or Firewire. On top of this, Apple still refuses to include a media card reader or an SD expansion slot in their laptops. However, there are of course some all-important plus-points; the ability to wirelessly connect to another systemâs optical drive and new touchpad gesture controls. If youâre after an Apple Mac but arenât sure whether the Air is for you then you will need to think of what you want from your laptop. For those who travel around a lot and who would benefit from a light-weight machine but with the extra screen space and who tend to hook up to the internet using Wi-Fi hot spots will probably be very impressed with the Air and its £1,199 price tag. If your needs are more complex and the high tech Apple MacBook Air doesnât impress you too much in the looks department anyway then perhaps the new Dell Studio range laptops will suit you more. Dell laptops are made for a range of different prices but if you donât want to be seen with the a cheaper Dell Inspiron laptop but the XPS range is well beyond your budget then the new Studio range could be just what youâve been looking for. The Dell Studio 17 model can, like all Dell laptops, be customised to make it exactly what youâve been looking for. The options start from the entry-level 1.73GHz Pentium Dual Core T2370 and work their way up to the 2.5GHz T9300 model. This means that there are choices of this laptop that will suit most budgets and performance needs. This model also has an HDMI output port and comes with a choice of three panels for its 17-inch screen; again, you can customise the screen in order to get the laptop of your dreams and with a price tag of £499, this sounds like a real bargain.
The Apple MacBook Air has a fantastic design, but you wouldnât expect anything less from Apple laptops. If you want an Apple Mac but youâre not sure whether the Air is for you or not, the best thing to do is to think about what you want from a laptop. Dell laptops are sold for a range of different prices.
