Help With Laptop Is This Good Toshiba Laptop From A Dell Computer. ?

Okay well I have a Dell computer it is dimension 5000, 17 inches, it is almost 3 years old.

but I can’t make up all the money for it. Is it possible that some big stores (like PC World) swap computers and you can trade in, even if you have to add some money to it?
Please give details, HELP 
If this is not possible in England, how much do you think a Dell Dimension 5000 could get if I sold it?
If I havn’t given enough info please say and I will try to add more. I couldn’t find any answers on the internet.
BTW is this a good laptop? ? ? ?
Yeah, circuit city does this.
