What Dell Inspiron Laptop Should I Buy?

I am trying to purchase a Dell Inspiron Laptop on Dell.com What is the difference between the 1501, 1520, 1521, 1525, 1526, 1720 and 1721? I know the 1500’s are 15 inches and 1700’s are 17 inches……but that’s about all I know is different. I am a college student just looking to use the computer for basic home needs and schoolwork. Dell Inspiron 1720 Laptop Screen Information Please?

Hi, I have just ordered a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop, with a T7300, and a few other little gadgets that I will most likely never use.
Anyhow, when you order the computer, who can’t be seduced by one of their many-yet-useless-gadget, for “today only super special” of 20$? Lol… Anyhow, this has absolutely nothing to do with my question.
I was wondering, for the screen part. Dell offers the:
Glossy, high contrast, widescreen 17.0 inch display (1440 x 900)
or the
Anti-glare, widescreen 17.0 inch display (1440 x 900) .
I was wondering if the Anti-glare one was a typical LCD screen, like the older LCD computer screens, or … ?
And according to you, which one of the two is worth best? I ordered a 256 MB Geforce 8600 GT, and on which would the graphics looks better ?

Dell Studio 15 Or 17?

I am about to purchase a Dell Studio laptop, but I am torn between whether I should get a Studio 15 or 17. I am worried about the battery life of the 17 given the additional screen real estate. I plan to use them for Photoshop and Illustrator…and would like the extra space but not if it means only I have an hour or so of work time. Has anyone had any experience with the aforementioned laptops.

Damaged Laptop. Can I Transfer Files?

I spilled water into my Dell Studio 17 laptop. While the notebook itself works fine, the screen is extremely watermarked. It’s nearly unbearable. My warranty allows me to get a replacement laptop. So, when I take it to Staples, if they can’t repair the screen, can they take the memory or hard drive out of my laptop and put it into the hypothetical new one?
